Guder and his colleagues address the question of how the church can recover its missional purpose in North America, given that North America is now a vast mission field. The six authors address a theology of church and seek to equip local churches to answer God’s call. The book will not be an easy read for many lay church leaders (and even for some professional ministers), but it provides a helpful and thoughtful foundation for recovering God’s purpose as the North American church seeks to address the world immediately around it.
